  3. Transparency. I shall support openness and transparency in organizational affairs and encourage systems that promote trust, lawful fundraising, accurate records, and good governance.
  4. Service Before Self. I understand that leadership is a responsibility and not a privilege. If entrusted with any position, I shall serve with humility, dedication, and commitment to the common good.
  5. Stewardship of Leadership. If elected or appointed to a leadership role, I shall exercise due diligence, fairness, professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability in carrying out my duties.
  6. Respect and Unity. I shall treat every member with dignity and respect regardless of tribe, ethnicity, religion, gender, region, political background, social status, nationality, or location. I shall reject tribalism, discrimination, hatred, harassment, intimidation, and divisive conduct.
  7. Conflict of Interest. I shall disclose any personal, financial, political, family, business, or professional interests that may conflict with the interests of One Ghana Alliance. I shall not use my position within the organization for personal gain.
  8. Responsibility and Competence. If I am unable to effectively perform responsibilities entrusted to me, I shall seek assistance, accept supervision, or voluntarily step aside in the best interest of the organization.
  9. Protection of the Organization. I shall not engage in conduct that brings disrepute, embarrassment, financial loss, legal risk, or reputational harm to One Ghana Alliance. I shall not misuse OGA’s name, logo, records, data, donor information, member lists, platforms, or official channels.
  10. Confidentiality and Data Protection. I shall protect confidential information, internal discussions, member data, donor information, CRM records, login credentials, strategy documents, financial records, and privileged legal information. I shall not share such information without authorization.
  11. Communication Discipline. I shall not knowingly spread false information, inflammatory claims, unauthorized statements, personal attacks, threats, or content that undermines OGA’s mission. I shall not present my personal views as official OGA policy unless authorized.
  12. Due Process and Accountability. Should concerns arise regarding my conduct, I agree to submit myself to a fair, impartial, and transparent review process established by the organization. I shall cooperate fully with any investigation and respect the outcomes of duly constituted disciplinary procedures.
  13. Commitment to Service. Whether serving in leadership or as a general member, I shall contribute my time, talents, expertise, resources, and lawful support whenever possible to advance the mission of One Ghana Alliance.

I commit myself to: One People, One Nation, One Future.

Disciplinary Authority and Consequences

Important limit: OGA may discipline members within the organization by warning, reprimand, censure, suspension, removal from OGA position, loss of platform access, withdrawal of endorsement or support, disqualification from representing OGA, expulsion, or referral to appropriate authorities. OGA discipline does not itself remove any person from a public office; removal from public office must follow the applicable constitution, law, court process, parliamentary process, election process, or other lawful procedure.

Any member, officer, representative, volunteer, candidate, appointee, delegate, committee member, or leader who violates OGA’s Code of Ethics, Membership Agreement, Constitution, bylaws, anti-corruption principles, confidentiality rules, communication standards, lawful directives, or membership pledge may be subject to disciplinary action.

Disciplinary action may include, without limitation:

  • verbal warning or written warning;
  • formal reprimand or internal/public censure;
  • temporary suspension from meetings, committees, WhatsApp groups, website/CRM access, leadership duties, voting rights, or platform privileges;
  • removal from an appointed or elected OGA position, committee, office, delegate status, spokesperson role, or administrative role;
  • loss of OGA endorsement, campaign support, platform access, or authority to represent OGA;
  • disqualification from candidacy, appointment, leadership consideration, or representative status within OGA;
  • termination or expulsion from membership;
  • restitution, apology, correction, retraction, return of records/property, or remedial training where appropriate;
  • referral to appropriate legal, regulatory, law-enforcement, or electoral authorities where misconduct may involve fraud, theft, threats, violence, corruption, illegal fundraising, data misuse, or other unlawful conduct.

Verbal or written warning, correction, training, or apology.

Repeated or disruptive conduct

Written reprimand, censure, platform restriction, or 30–90 day suspension.

Major violation

Removal from leadership, withdrawal of endorsement, disqualification, expulsion, and referral where appropriate.

Examples of Violations

  • bribery, vote buying, corruption, theft, fraud, or unauthorized fundraising;
  • misuse of OGA’s name, logo, website, WhatsApp groups, donor lists, CRM records, or member data;
  • harassment, threats, intimidation, discrimination, tribal attacks, hate speech, or violence;

  • accepting or using an OGA position for personal financial, business, political, or family gain;
  • refusing to cooperate with a lawful internal review or disciplinary process;
  • public conduct that seriously damages OGA’s reputation, mission, unity, or legal standing.

Due Process Procedure

  1. Complaint or concern received. A concern may be submitted to the appropriate OGA leadership, ethics committee, disciplinary committee, or authorized officer.
  2. Preliminary review. OGA may determine whether the matter is minor, serious, urgent, or outside OGA’s authority.
  3. Notice to the member. Where practical and appropriate, the member will receive notice of the concern and an opportunity to respond.
  4. Temporary protective action. For serious allegations involving safety, finances, data, confidentiality, legal risk, threats, or organizational harm, OGA may impose immediate temporary suspension or access restrictions pending review.
  5. Review and decision. The authorized committee or leadership body may issue findings and discipline based on the evidence, policies, and seriousness of the conduct.
  6. Appeal or reconsideration. Where allowed by OGA’s rules, the member may request review or reconsideration within the stated deadline.
